Midweek Practice: Becoming in the Middle
Share
Midweek is where becoming is tested. It’s the pause in the middle of everything — the moment you breathe, steady yourself, and realign your rhythm with God. This practice keeps you moving, gently and intentionally.
Settle In
Take a quiet minute. Slow your breathing. Let the noise fall away. Say softly:
“I am becoming who God says I am.”
Identity first. Everything else follows.
Scripture Focus
Carry one verse for the next 24 hours. Today’s verse: Philippians 1:6 “He who began a good work in you will carry it on…”
Reflect:
-
What part of me is God still shaping?
-
Where have I seen small signs of growth this week?
The Check-In
Three honest questions:
-
Where am I strong right now?
-
Where am I struggling?
-
Where am I becoming?
Movement over perfection. Always.
The Midweek Shift
Choose one small shift for the next 24 hours. Something simple. Something doable:
-
Speak gently once where you normally rush.
-
Pray for someone by name.
-
Replace one negative thought with truth.
-
Do one quiet act of kindness.
Small shifts create steady becoming.
Becoming Declaration
Say this out loud:
“I am becoming steady. I am becoming faithful. I am becoming who God designed me to be.”
Let your words set your direction.
Close With Gratitude
Name one thing God has done in the last three days. Small counts. Quiet counts. Hidden counts.
Gratitude resets the heart.
Community Prompt
Share with someone:
“My midweek shift is ______. Hold me to it.”
Becoming grows stronger when shared.
