Midweek Practice — Becoming in the Middle

Midweek Practice — Becoming in the Middle

Takeaway

A 10–12 minute rhythm designed to help the House practise becoming, not just believing.

───

1. Settle Into Becoming

Take 60 seconds.

• Sit still.

• Breathe slowly.

• Say: “Jesus, shape my middle.”

This aligns with the JFH posture of slowing down before stepping forward.

───

2. Scripture Moment

“And we all… are being transformed into His image with ever‑increasing glory.” — 2 Corinthians 3:18

Read it twice.

Let the phrase being transformed sit with you — it’s active, ongoing, unfinished.

───

3. Reflection Prompt

Choose one:

• What part of me is Jesus shaping right now?

• Where do I feel resistance to becoming?

• What small shift would look like transformation today?

Keep it honest. Keep it simple.

───

4. Becoming Action

Pick one small movement for the next 24 hours:

• Speak gently where you’d normally react quickly.

• Do one act of kindness that costs you something small.

• Pause and pray before any decision that affects someone else.

• Replace one negative thought with a Scripture truth.

This is the House heartbeat: faith that moves.

───

5. Close the Practice

Pray:

“Jesus, thank You for shaping me. Help me become who You see, not who I settle for.”

Sit for 10 seconds before getting up.
