Founder’s Message — The Total Eclipse of the Sun

There are moments in creation that stop us in our tracks — moments where the sky itself seems to pause, breathe, and speak. A total eclipse of the sun is one of those moments. It’s as if God briefly turns down the light of the world to remind us of something deeper, something eternal, something we often forget in the rush of everyday life.

Throughout history, believers have looked at eclipses with awe, humility, and spiritual curiosity. Many saw them as reminders of God’s power, moments of reflection, or signs of transition. 

And honestly… I felt that this week.

The eclipse wasn’t just an astronomical event.  

It was a spiritual invitation.

 

When the Light Disappears

A total eclipse is a moment where the sun — the strongest, most constant light we know — is covered. Darkness arrives in the middle of the day. The world goes quiet. Creation holds its breath.

Biblically, moments like this often symbolize reflection, transition, or divine awakening. 

Not fear.  

Not superstition.  

But awareness.

Awareness that God is still in control.  

Awareness that darkness is temporary.  

Awareness that even when the light disappears, His presence does not.

The Meaning in the Moment

Scripture tells us that the lights in the sky were created to mark sacred times and seasons. 

A total eclipse reminds us:

- God’s power is greater than anything we see.  

- Darkness is never permanent.  

- Light always returns.  

- Transitions often lead to transformation.

Many Christians throughout history saw eclipses as moments of spiritual transition — not doom, but deep change. 

And maybe that’s what this eclipse was for us:  

A reminder that God sometimes uses the sky to speak to the soul.

Becoming After the Darkness

When the sun reappears, something shifts.

The world feels new.  

The light feels different.  

Your heart feels awakened.

It’s a picture of becoming.

Because becoming often happens the same way:

A season of shadow.  

A moment of uncertainty.  

A pause you didn’t expect.  

And then — light again.

Not the same light.  

A clearer one.  

A stronger one.  

A light that reveals who you’re becoming.

 The House Is Becoming Too

As the eclipse passed, I felt God whisper:

“Even when the light disappears, I am still shaping you.”

This movement — this House — is becoming.  

You are becoming.  

We are becoming.

Not in the loud moments, but in the cosmic ones.  

Not in the rush, but in the pause.  

Not in the brightness alone, but in the temporary darkness that teaches us to trust the return of the light.

Keep becoming.  

The House is with you.  

And God is still speaking — even through the sky.
