Finding Our Own Becoming

Finding Our Own Becoming

Learning to grow into the version God is shaping within us

The Personal Journey of Becoming

Becoming is deeply personal. It’s not something we borrow from others, and it’s not something we perform. It’s something God forms quietly within us — in the places where our spirit listens, our heart softens, and our identity begins to align with His purpose.

This week reminded me of something simple but powerful:

“The Lord will fulfil His purpose for me.” — Psalm 138:8

Not someone else’s purpose. Not a pressured version of ourselves. Not a life shaped by comparison. His purpose for me.

Becoming starts when we stop trying to be who we were never called to be.

Hearing Your Own Becoming

One of the most sacred parts of becoming is learning to hear your voice again — the one God placed in you before life got loud.

Jesus said:

“My sheep hear My voice… and they follow Me.” — John 10:27

His voice leads us into becoming. Noise leads us into confusion.

This week may have brought moments that felt small but significant:

  • A conversation that stirred something

  • A quiet moment that grounded you

  • A challenge that revealed what needs healing

  • A prayer that unlocked clarity

These aren’t random. They’re invitations into your becoming.

Releasing the Versions That Aren’t Yours

To find your becoming, you often have to release the versions of yourself built for survival, approval, or expectation.

Paul wrote:

“Throw off everything that hinders…” — Hebrews 12:1

Some things aren’t sins — they’re weights. Weights that keep you from stepping into who God is shaping you to be.

This week may have revealed:

  • A mindset that limits you

  • A fear that follows you

  • A pressure you didn’t realise you carried

  • A habit that no longer fits your future

Letting go is part of becoming. It’s not loss — it’s alignment.

Becoming Is Found, Not Forced

Here’s the truth I’m carrying into the new week:

Becoming isn’t something you force — it’s something you find.

You find it in prayer. You find it in quiet moments. You find it in obedience. You find it in the places where God whispers instead of shouts.

And when you find it, you feel it — that gentle alignment that tells you:

This is who I’m becoming. This is who God is shaping me to be. This is the path that fits my spirit.

The House is with you as you find your becoming. And God is guiding every step.
