I Am Becoming Light
Share
There are days when the world feels heavy —
when shadows stretch long,
and joy feels far away.
But even here,
in the quiet ache,
light is rising in you.
Not the kind that blinds,
but the kind that warms.
The kind that stays.
“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.” — John 1:5

The Gentle Work of Light
Light doesn’t rush.
It doesn’t demand attention.
It simply shows up —
faithful, steady, kind.
It finds its way through cracks,
through grief,
through the places you thought were too dim to hold beauty.
“You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.” — Matthew 5:14
God is teaching you how to carry light
without forcing it,
how to shine without striving,
how to be radiant without noise.
This is not about brightness.
It’s about presence.
About learning to live unhidden,
to stand in the warmth of grace
and let it spill quietly into the world around you.
“Arise, shine, for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.” — Isaiah 60:1
You are not becoming light because life is easy.
You are becoming light because God is lifting the heaviness off you,
teaching you how to carry joy again,
how to walk in peace,
how to be a gentle flame in a world that forgets how to rest.
Even now,
in the places that still feel dim,
light is forming.
It is not gone.
It is growing.
“The Lord will be your everlasting light, and your days of sorrow will end.” — Isaiah 60:20
You are not behind.
You are becoming light.

Reflection Questions
- Where do you feel light beginning to rise again in you?
- What heaviness might God be lifting from your shoulders?
- How can you carry joy quietly, without forcing it?
- What does it mean for you to be light in your world right now?

Breath Prayer
Inhale: Let Your light rise in me.
Exhale: Let it shine gently through me.

Benediction
May the light within you grow steady and kind.
May it warm the rooms you enter,
without needing to prove its brightness.
May the heaviness fall away,
and may you learn the quiet strength of joy.
And when the world feels dark,
may you remember —
you are not behind.
You are becoming light.
